Introducing…Sweets of Gold!
Hi, I’m Sarah - the sole owner of Sweets of Gold.
I am a 2019 graduate of Penn College with a degree in Baking/Pastry Arts. In addition, I have been cake and cookie decorating since 2018. I started baking for friends and family and am immeasurably grateful and blessed to be able to serve the many amazing and supportive people of Centre County and beyond. Baking is my career, but food art is my passion. It’s being able to make desserts look as good as they taste that makes my heart sing! Being able to share my love of coffee now is cool too ;)
My mission is to provide you with quality taste and appearance, heartfelt products, and positive service through passion, integrity, and grace.

Sweets, but no sweet tooth?
Don’t get me wrong - I love a good cookie or cake or cheesecake or chocolate, but studying the art of baking and pastry in college allowed me to recognize and refine my tastebuds, which led to the conclusion that to me, a good dessert has balanced flavor and a diverse taste profile. I.e. The sugar adds sweetness and provides its essential duty in the baking process, but it’s not all you taste. Sweets of Gold is here for all you lovers of baked goods who are, like I was, tired of only being able to stomach a few bites of cloyingly sweet dessert. Maybe that sounds like a hazard to your diet, but I can promise you one thing: your tastebuds won’t be the least bit sorry. And if you ask me, desserts are gift from above. ;)
